An old bungalow transformed to a little mix of modern oriental and contemporary. Modern Oriental is more than merely displaying an ornately carved lacquer piece in a contemporary setting. It is a design language that emphasizes detail refinement and a careful balance of colour and texture. The simplicity, subtle elegance, deliberate use of texture, and clean lines of a contemporary design style set it apart.
The first step in renovating an older house is taking the roof down, changing all new roof tiles and new landscape design as well. Interior part uses dark wood grain and real marble combination to make the house look like a hotel feel, especially the wall away from the entrance door. Owner has chosen simple white volakas marble grain for his house. Dining area wall was using specialist manual landscape painting which the owner wanted exactly in 3D visualization. The design of the built-in cabinet of the kitchen is simple and clear, but it is accented with glass doors to keep the overall aesthetic from becoming too monotonous.
